XL Hammock Stand for Spreader Bar Hammocks with Chains (3.7m)

Spreader bar hammocks hang flatter than a hammock without a bar, and they need a longer stand: the 2.5m steel stand in our free standing sets is too short for them. This 3.73m stand is the size for our 150cm cotton spreader bar hammocks, which are 2.44m long from ring to ring. A spreader bar hammock does not drape over the ends of the stand the way the hammocks in our free standing sets do. It hangs from a short chain at each end, and the chains take up the difference in length, which is why the stand is longer than the hammock. The supplier sells this stand and our 150cm spreader bar hammocks together as a matched set, hung with two 53cm chains.

The stand is powder coated steel in charcoal, 3.73m long, 1.4m wide and 1.13m tall, rated to 200kg. It comes with the hardware kit and assembly instructions, and weighs 22kg.

Chains and S-hooks are included. Every stand is packed with two 53cm zinc plated chains and two S-hooks, so a spreader bar hammock hooks straight onto the stand and the height adjusts a link at a time. The kit also holds two screw eyes, which are for hanging a hammock from timber instead of a stand: you will not need them here, so keep them as spares.

Each foot has a welded eyelet at the end, so the hammock can be tied down with rope, for people needing assistance with balance. Our 4.6m three beam stand does not have them.

It is not long enough for rope spreader bar hammocks, which are 3.66m from ring to ring. Those need our 4.6m three beam stand. The stand comes without a hammock.
