These tree straps are specifically designed for use with swings.

You can hang with 1 strap and have the swing swivel, or you can use 2 straps to decrease spinning.

They're easy to set up and strong too, so your kids can be swinging within minutes. You simply pass the strap over a strong branch, then loop the strap through itself. Just have an adult test the straps set-up before use.
Who it suits

For hanging a swing from a tree branch, a verandah beam or a pergola rafter without screwing anything in, and for taking the swing down again in a minute. Each strap is rated to 200kg and comes with its own swivel and carabiner, so a pod, wrap or nest swing clips straight on. Two straps let a nest swing or wrap swing hang from two points to swing forward and back, around 1 metre apart for the nest swing; one strap at a centre point lets the swing move in more directions or spin.

Hanging and setup

Pass the strap over the branch or beam, feed the end through its own loop and pull it tight, then clip the swing to the carabiner. The strap is 120cm long and 4cm wide, and the branch or beam will use up some of that length; if the hanging point is high, the swing's own adjustable ropes or a length of chain make up the difference. Have an adult test the set up before a child does, and check the strap for wear regularly.

Do I need one strap or two?

Two straps for a swing hung from two points, which swings forward and back, and one strap for a swing hung from a single centre point, which then swings in more directions or spins. The pair gives you both options. Each strap carries 200kg, and the lower rating of the strap or swing applies, for example 80kg for the pod swing.

Can the tree straps hang a swing from a beam?

Yes, they go around any horizontal support you can pass the strap over: a verandah beam, a pergola rafter or an exposed joist, as well as a branch. The branch or beam should be solid, and for a nest swing we suggest a branch at least 25cm thick. On a beam, keep the strap away from sharp edges that could rub and damage it.
