Large Blue Nylon Wrap Therapy Swing (450x250cm)
The adult and child in the photos weigh a total of 80kg, compared to the swing weight limit of 100kg. The adult in the photos can confirm that it's relaxing inside and a nice tight wrap. He was impressed by the feel of it.
Hanging
You can hang the swing from 1 or 2 hanging points. Hanging from 1 point will mean the swing wraps tighter and can spin, while hanging from 2 points will be a bit more open though still fairly tight, and will mainly move forward and backward, not spin.
The optional tree straps are not only for trees. They can be used to hang from horizontal supports, such as a horizontal beam on a verandah.
Size
The size is even large enough for an adult to lay out fully inside. That also means there is some material overlap when used by a small child. The suggested age is 3+, though small children should use it under supervision, to make sure that they can get in and out safely, and preferably with a soft surface beneath.
Adjusting
You'll receive 2 large carabiners with the swing. To set up the swing, you'll need to tie each end through a carabiner. Make sure to double knot it, as the smooth material could slide if only single knotted. Retie one end until you have your desired hanging length. If there is excess material hanging down on one end, sit it in the carabiner.
Having the carabiners means it's easy to take down and put up without having to re-adjust or retie every time.
Usage
The nylon material is mildew resistant, but can fade with prolonged UV exposure, so it is better as an indoor swing. If used outdoors, it is best kept inside when not in use.
Washing
The swing is suggested to be hand-washed, and can be dried on low heat cycle.
A wrap swing for a child or an adult who wants deep pressure: the stretchy nylon closes around the whole body, and at 4.5m by 2.5m it takes an adult lying out flat, or an adult and child together within the 100kg limit. Choose a wrap over a pod when the user wants to be squeezed rather than seated, and choose this large size over the medium, except for small children. It is mostly an indoor swing, brought in after use if it goes outside, and should be protected from damage.
Tie each end of the fabric through one of the two large carabiners with a tight double knot, since a single knot can slip on the smooth nylon, then clip to the hanging point and retie one end until the seat sits about 40cm off the floor. Attaching to a single centre hanging point causes the swing to wrap tighter and lets it move in more directions or spin; two points opens it up a little and keeps the swinging to the forward and backward directions. Tree straps hang it from a beam or branch, a hook or anchor plate from a joist, and it fits on any of our stands. Gently hand wash and hang to dry.
Safety and care for wrap swings
- Tie each end of the fabric to its carabiner with a tight double knot. A single knot can allow the smooth nylon to unravel its knot.
- Hang the seat no more than 40cm above grass, sand, wood chips or a mat.
- Use the wrap for sitting, lying and gentle swinging. It is not built for strong swinging. Spinning is fine from a single point, and a swivel makes it smoother.
- Keep sharp objects away from the fabric: shoes, zips, rings and toys can damage it.
- Check the fabric, carabiners and hanging point at the start of each season, and store the swing dry and out of direct sun when it is not in use. It should not be left outside permanently.
- An adult should supervise, and check that the child can get in and out safely. This is the part that requires more balance and manoeuvring.

Is the wrap swing suitable for adults?
Yes, it is rated to 100kg and the 2.5m width means an adult can lie out fully inside it, which is why the large size exists. The adult and child in the photos weigh 80kg together. The suggested age is 3 and up, and small children should be supervised so they can get in and out safely, with a soft surface underneath.
Should I hang the wrap swing from one point or two?
One centre point for the tightest wrap and the ability to move in more directions or spin, two points for a slightly more open wrap that swings forward and back. The two carabiners in the box work either way. A swivel above the carabiners makes spinning smoother, and a second tree strap or hook turns a spinning set up into a forward and back one.
How do I wash the wrap swing?
Gently hand wash it, then hang it to dry. Keep zips, rings, shoes and toys away from the fabric, since the nylon can be damaged by sharp objects. Store it dry and out of direct sun when it is not in use.
