Ordering a sensory swing through NDIS

We supply sensory swings, nest swings and stands to NDIS participants regularly, by invoice and bank transfer. This page explains the process for plan-managed and self-managed participants. We do not assess eligibility or advise on plans; your plan manager or occupational therapist decides what your plan covers.

Plan-managed

  1. Email us at support@heavenlyhammocks.com.au with your list of items, participant name, participant number, delivery address and phone number.
  2. We reply with the invoice, so you can forward it to your plan manager.
  3. We wait for payment by bank transfer, with the invoice number as the reference.
  4. We dispatch your order.

Self-managed

  1. Email us at support@heavenlyhammocks.com.au with your list of items, participant name, participant number, delivery address and phone number.
  2. We send the invoice. Pay by bank transfer, with the invoice number as the reference.
  3. We dispatch your order.
  4. You submit a payment request through the NDIS portal to be reimbursed. Keep the invoice.

Schools and clinics

Schools usually request an invoice by email, or order directly on the website. The same details are needed: items, name, delivery address and phone number.

Which swings do therapists ask for

  • Wrap swings: 450cm nylon wraps rated to 90kg and 100kg, tied to two carabiners so the height adjusts.
  • Pod swings: waterproof 140cm by 70cm pod chairs rated to 80kg, on their own or with a 2.1m stand.
  • Sensory swings with stands: swing and stand bundles for rooms without a hanging point.
  • Sensory swings for adults: swings rated to 100kg and more, including the 150cm nest swings at 140kg.

Every product page lists the capacity and size under Specifics and links to the PDF manual, which is what an OT letter or plan manager usually asks for.
