Cacoon Size
Following is perspective of the 3 sizes of Cacoon. This listing is for the large Double size, 183cm wide (even larger than our 150cm nest swings), which is commonly used for adults or multiple children.

Weight Limit
The weight limit of the swing is 200kg. It is the largest, and with matching weight limit.

Double Size Advantages
  • Best size for fitting adults.
  • Spacious, to fit multiple people at once.
  • Can lay out easily (adults too).
  • Very large and tall (do check your space before ordering, particularly if indoors).

Adjusting
The swing itself includes a hanging rope with carabiner. The rope can be used for hanging, or the carabiner can be latched onto a daisy chain strap (optional accessory). That would allow to easily adjust up and down the daisy chain strap.

Optional Stand
The 'Heavier Duty Tripod Stand (Cacoon Approved)' is the suggested stand for the Cacoons. The Single size Cacoons may be too tall for some shorter types of stands. Note that the Heavier Duty Tripod Stand is very large. In case of wanting to save space, Daisy Chain Straps can be a good option, attached to a strong beam or branch.

Safety and care for Cacoons

  • A Cacoon hangs from a single point on the rope and carabiner supplied. The suggested hanging point is 220cm or higher for the Bebo, 245cm or higher for the Single and 255cm or higher for the Double, on a strong beam, a tree limb or the heavier duty tripod stand (Cacoon approved).
  • Hang it no more than 40cm above grass, sand, wood chips or a mat, with clear space around it.
  • Capacity is 100kg for the Bebo and 200kg for the Single and Double. On a stand, the lower of the swing and stand limits applies.
  • Cacoons are for sitting, lying and gentle movement, not strong swinging. Sit or lie in the centre when using one alone. The fabric stretches a little in height with use.
  • To change the height, clip the carabiner to a daisy chain strap fixed to the beam or branch rather than shortening the rope.
  • Do not let water pool inside if it gets wet, keep it clear of leaf litter, and bring it in and store it dry at the end of the season. Check the fabric, rope and carabiner for wear at the start of each season.
  • Recommended for ages 3 and up, with adult supervision.
