Cacoon Size
Following is perspective of the 3 sizes of Cacoon. This listing is for the smaller Bebo size, 122cm wide (half way between our 100cm and 150cm nest swings), which is most commonly used for 1 child.

Stand shown for perspective only. Not included by default.



Weight Limit
The weight limit of the swing is 100kg. This is larger and with higher weight limit than the pods for example.

Bebo Size Advantages
  • Smaller and easier to fit indoors.
  • Easier to balance (when leaning towards the sides for example).
  • More snuggly for 1 child (most commonly).

Adjusting
The swing itself includes a hanging rope with carabiner. The rope can be used for hanging, or the carabiner can be latched onto a daisy chain strap (optional accessory). That would allow to easily adjust up and down the daisy chain strap.

Optional Stand
The 'Heavier Duty Tripod Stand (Cacoon Approved)' is the suggested stand for the Cacoons, though some of them can fit on other stands eg. Bebo can fit on the Large Swing Set Stand, due to the Bebo having a shorter height. Note that the Heavier Duty Tripod Stand is very large. In case of wanting to save space, Daisy Chain Straps can be a good option, attached to a strong beam or branch.

Safety and care for hangouts

  • Hang the nest no more than 40cm above grass, sand, wood chips or a mat, with about 1.5m clear on either side, from a frame, beam or a tree limb at least 25cm thick.
  • Hangouts are for sitting and gentle movement, not strong swinging.
  • Do not put arms, legs or the head between the supporting ropes; this is the main thing to watch when supervising.
  • Sit in the centre when using it alone. Sitting or lying is safer than standing, jumping or hanging from the frame.
  • Check the fabric regularly for wear. Fabric degrades over time, especially in sun.
  • Recommended for ages 3 and up, with adult supervision.
