This set is unique in Australia, and is designed specifically with schools, occupational therapists, sensory rooms and clinics in mind. It includes a padded stand, a bolster swing and a flexion swing - all pre-matched to fit together.
The stand itself includes 4 adjustable hanging points, while the two swings use just 3 points. This means you can mix and match other swings that may use up to 4 hanging points. For example, the bolster swing and a nest swing could use 4 points.
Cleaning
All of the surfaces can be wiped down easily, making it convenient and hygienic to clean. The material covering the swings is smooth PVC leather.
Dimensions / Weight Limit
The stand is 200cm long at the top (240-250cm at the base), 190cm tall and weighs approximately 45kg. The 2 swings are 80cm and 60cm long.
The swings each have a recommended weight limit of 80kg, while the stand has a much higher limit, which is only limited by the swings.
Padded Mats
Padded floor mats are not included, though for reference, the stand can fit 2x 180x120cm mats side-by-side fairly tightly in the area between the legs.
Assembly
The stand comes disassembled as 3 main pieces, plus bolts and hanging points. The center beam connects to each side using 4 bolts. At 190cm tall, the bolts should be in reach of an adult, and you'll need at least 2 adults for assembly. The swings come pre-assembled, and ready to attach.
The 4 hooks at the top of the stand need to be assembled (look at the photos to see how to connect the pieces) and attached. You can then change their positions in about 5 minutes if you want to swap swings.

The sling swing and nest swings displayed in some photos are not included. The set includes 1 stand and 2 swings (bolster swing and flexion disc swing). The other swings are displayed for perspective, so you can see that they do fit if you want to have extra swings. Email us if you want to know if another swing will fit.
Though the stand is delivered with cardboard and plastic protection, the stand/padding could have some fairly small marks/wear from shipping/delivery. You generally won't notice them unless you're focusing on them, so you and your clients or students will still be happy when using the stand. We definitely like the stand.

Safety and care for swing stands
- Set the stand on a flat surface, clear of toys and anything a child could bump into or trip on. Grass or matting is safer than a hard floor.
- Double check that every bolt and connection is tight, then adjust the chain or straps so the swing hangs at a height that is easy to get on and off.
- The X-Stand, U-Stand and tripod are for sitting or gentle swinging. Strong swinging belongs on a swing set stand with a wider base. If the swing is rated lower than the stand, the swing's limit applies.
- Keep an eye out for sliding, leg lifting or tipping. Noting such would mean needing to take extra care not to swing overly strongly, and you may consider fixing the stand down, eg. our Spiral Pegs into dirt or grass, or adding weights to the base, such as Velcro sandbags from eBay.
- When spinning from a single point, put a swivel between the carabiners so the rotation is smoother and puts less force on the stand.
- On soft ground, peg or sandbag the legs; indoors, use floor protectors under the feet.
- The stands are powder coated for weather, but give them some cover over long periods outside, and bring the swing in when it is not being used.
