The Stand
The tripod stand is large at 260x260x260cm (along the base triangle) and 240cm tall, so it's usually best suited to outdoors. The large size means that it can fit all of our swings, and the swings can then be adjusted up and down using the chain and carabiner. It supports gentle to moderate swinging, as there is about 1.2m from the side of the hangout to the poles. It also includes 3 standard pegs so you can fix it down. The stand is power coated for weather resistance.

The Swing
Made from durable and weather resistant Oxford Polyester, the Hangout Hanging Nest is a great play space or quiet space for both indoor and outdoor use. It is portable and easy to move inside and out, though best kept under cover/shade when left for prolonged periods.

It is popular for relaxing inside while reading a book or playing a game while gently swinging. It can help to soothe over-stimulation such as from autism and sensory overload.

It can fit an adult and child inside at the same time, assuming it's within the weight limit, so it's quite spacious.

Swapping Swings
The chain and carabiner system makes it easy to latch on and off any swings you like. Other swings that you might consider include - a nest swing, a pod, or a wrap swing.

Other Details
The suggested age is 3+. The weight limit of the stand is 80kg and the limit of the swing is 100kg, so overall for the set is 80kg.

Stand Advantages:

• Very Large - It can fit all of our swings.
• Chain and carabiner system lets you adjust the swing up and down easily.
• Has nothing below the swing - safe from obstacles.
• The ropes keep the 3 legs securely in position. The ropes and stand can then be pegged down (3x standard pegs included. XL spiral pegs are optional.).
• Can be used for spinning. Though you might want to install a swivel if spinning excessively.

Stand Disadvantages:

• The stand has no feet on the poles, so if you were planning to use it inside, you might need to put something under the legs to protect your floor.
• Only for gentle-moderate strength swinging. If swinging too strongly, you'd bump into the poles. This is not really an issue with a hangout, as you'd not normally be doing strong swinging on the hangout.

Weather Resistance: The stand is powder coated and the swing is made from Oxford Polyester, which are both weather resistant. That means it can be used outdoors, though we'd still suggest not leaving the swing in the sun & rain permanently, to avoid fading.

Adjusting: The hangout is not adjustable, so you would adjust its hanging height by connecting the carabiner to a different link on the chain of the stand.

Accessories: The optional accessories (strap or anchor plate) are only offered for convenience, in case you want to have extra hanging locations in addition to the stand. The set already includes everything you need to use the stand and swing.
